The 5 things every Sound Healer should know about their bowlmates.
The insta trend you might regret
...unless you’d like to try out mosaic art that is. We’ve seen many self-proclaimed sound experts share videos of them playing sound bowls from inside the bowl. You might as well kiss your bowls goodbye now. Playing the wrong side creates standing waves inside the air volume which press outwards on the delicate bowl walls. Essentially, this can lead to your beautiful bowlmate breaking if the pressure rises too high.
Drop the diamonds
When playing sound bowls, we always advise our Sound Practioner Trainees to take off any and all jewelry as it might interfere with the sound mid bath or, even worse, damage the bowl.
Strip it, baby!
Sound bowls remember and are highly energetic beings - hence they can regularly soak up the intense energies set free around them. Dedicate some time inbetween 1:1 sessions to cleanse them from any stuck energy so that your next client can feel their light untainted.
She’s a softie
Sound Bowls are excellent energetic cleansers themselves so no need to wash them every week. When you do, however, make sure to only use microfibre cloths and water or gentle soap to keep their crystal clear surface safe & shining.
Harm with no plan
Tapping into your intuition when you first encounter your sound bowls is truly magical and can help open the channel. Once you hold space for other people, make sure you know exactly which sound combinations can bring blissful stillness and which might do more harm than good. Once your souls have connected, it’s time to open your mind to the sacred knowledeg of this practice to create true transformation.
